This artwork, created in 2008, belongs to El Nagdi’s celebrated Queens Series, a body of work that pays homage to powerful female figures as enduring symbols of strength, wisdom, and cultural identity. Born in Cairo in 1931, Omar El Nagdi was a pioneering Egyptian artist whose career spanned more than six decades. His works were exhibited internationally and earned widespread acclaim, with his artistic legacy extending beyond Egypt through a museum dedicated to his work in France, celebrating his remarkable contribution to modern art. El Nagdi passed away in 2019, leaving behind an extraordinary body of work that continues to inspire audiences around the world.
